One thing you could try is loading a backup save in the clean folder instead. It's also possible that some content present in your existing save isn't installed in the new folder, but usually missing items are replaced and the save loads anyway. If you can't get the game to load even in a clean folder, please run a dxdiag and attach the results here (use the "browse" a new save will load in a clean folder but your old one won't, it's entirely possible that the existing save is corrupt in some way. It might be better to redownload and reinstall store content, especially if you have some in multiple old game folders, since you wouldn't want the same items installed twice. Once you get things running in the new folder, then you start adding back your saves and other content. If your game isn't loading, testing with a clean folder is actually the best way to start narrowing down the source of the problem. So it's actually a better idea to force the game to spawn a new folder and then start adding content into it from your old folders. The new folder will not have any of your saves or other installed content, nor will it have the caches and other disposable files that can sometimes be corrupted or stuffed with old and useless game data. This can happen if the old folder is automatically uploaded to cloud storage (via OneDrive or iCloud), or if you pull the folder out of Documents for any reason. When TS3 can't find its game folder, it generates a new one.
